Hi, everyone. Welcome to our class Blog. Whether you've used a Blog before or not, I think you'll find the basic format and mechanics of this is familiar enough. It works basically like web email. You can do two basic kinds of things: comment on a post, and make a new post. To comment, just type in the box below and click the "post comment" button. You can also edit things afterwards if you need to, so don't panic. You can't really break things, so explore and experiment. Let me know if you have questions.

My hope is that this Blog serves as an interactive and communal space where we are actually reading each other's ideas and commenting back and forth. If you're responding to something someone else has said, refer to their comment directly: "Hey, Sarah, what you said about X is really interesting because Y. I was also thinking Z," and so on. If you like what someone has written, say so! The Blog is meant to be a safe space for conversation and exploration, and a way to extend our discussion outside of class. The Blog is private and read only by us.
